Burel Architecture – Burel Factory
Burel Architecture is a segment of Burel Factory dedicated burel’s application in architecture as an element of acoustic and thermal control.
Burel Factory is a Portuguese brand, born in Serra da Estrela, which recovered an old burel factory and renewed the product, giving it several applications with an innovative design.
The Lisbon showroom uses the burel fabric in various ways, exemplifying how the material can be used in architecture.
The colors and textures were presented in a very unique way.
It is intended to present the product, organized chromatically, on a neutral basis. All store finishings were selected to allow the product to stand out.
The fabric is divided into an area of warm colors, an area of cold colors and an area with all the colors available at the inauguration date.
The various stitches, seams and textures are also presented, integrated, in each of the color zones.
Some decorative elements are displayed, but mainly the fabric is presented as an architectural material with excellent acoustic and thermal capabilities, which can be applied in different ways in architecture.
The fabric appears exposed in various ways such as lining, acoustic frames, curtains, rugs and decorative elements.
The acoustic panels applied to the ceiling are covered with different textures so that the public can experience how, directly beneath each panel, the sound behaves differently.
