Editorial, Exhibition
MUDE – Museum of Design and Fashion of Lisbon
“Creative laboratory” was the starting point for the dialogue and interaction between all disciplines involved (MUDE/José António Tenente/SAMI Architects/P 06 studio), and has as formal result, the exhibition intended to be a conceptual continuity of the aesthetics of the fashion designer JAT.
A long and involving piece of black fabric, alternating between linear walls and curved pleats, opaque and translucent elements in a basic bare scenery.
Mirrored lettering under the black voile and lettering made of light, avoid all physical elements besides the minimal scenery created.
Extra care in the balance between natural and artificial lightning, reinforcing all the scenic environment.
The exhibition catalog was thought as an object-book, so we chose to have a “drawing folder” style format, with fabric covering cardboard on the cover, with only the title in mirror print and ties to close.
The interior contains folding pages, in an intention to continue the concept of pleats/bellows represented also in the exhibition.
The first part, it’s recycled paper and it’s dedicated to the institutional texts and the making of the exhibition. With glossy couche paper, it’s the presentation of the final exhibition. The assembly of the book was hand-finished.
