P06 was invited to design a temporary exhibition, that could become an itinerant exhibition, to exhibit the underwater photography of Hussain Aga Khan.
With kelp forests as inspiration, an immersive experience was developed where the visitor is invited to wander trough the photography collection, simulating the ambience where the photos were taken.
The exhibition is laid out as a grid were several canvas of each animal are presented.
The photography collection is divided in 5 themes, Sea Lion, Dolphin, Shark, Turtle and a “Mosaic” with several smaller species.
Each theme has opaque canvas, that present a selection of photos and quotes that the photographer wrote about his personal experience with each marine animal, and light see through canvas, the present the animals in greater scale on their natural surroundings.
With this exhibition the underwater photography collection of Hussain Aga Khan can be presented world wide promoting awareness of environmental causes and to finance some of the best wildlife charities in the world for particular species and ecosystems of interest.
