This project consisted in the development of a signage system and chromatic study for all the buildings of this new technological campus, and also in the customization of the overall space using a visual language related to the computer world.
The colors, the monospaced font (and bespoke pictograms), this whole “data storage” theme, (storage units, binary code), and the computer warnings and errors (some subversive analogies in specific spaces) are the elements that built up a technical, yet playful and engaging atmosphere for this peculiar space.
Regarding the colors, blue was the brand color which was used along the campus in zones like the offices building or the parking lot. For the more technical areas a vibrant and bright green was the color chosen to use on the signage (green was one of the more visible colors of the cables seen on site).
The bright green also ended up being used as the color for the doors inside the technical areas giving these cold spaces a more vibrant feel.
The bespoke pictogram set was designed with the objective of matching the same feel of the monospaced font and contribute to the overall mood of the graphic language.
On the parking lot, the walls and pillars had both signage informations and also lots of 0s and 1s in order to create a giant binary code installation. These binary code graphics set this space’s communication mood for the person that is arriving through the parking lot, but also work in a funcional way by providing a graphic reference on the wall/pillar to help the driver with the parking maneuvers.
